New arrest have been made in the mass shooting.

"At this time, Dawson is not charged with crimes directly related to the shootings... Based on the type of firearm recovered, detectives do not believe that this gun was used in the shooting. Detectives are continuing to investigate this crime and identify additional suspects." police said in a statement Tuesday afternoon.
On Tuesday morning also arrested Smiley Martin 27, he is the brother of Dandrae Martin. Martin was "located at the scene with serious injuries from gunfire" and then taken to a hospital "quickly identified as a person of interest," he will be booked into jail on suspicion of possession of a firearm and other reason after he out of the hospital.
"Inmate Martin has committed several felony violations and clearly has little regard for human life and the law," Abildgaard wrote in an April 29, 2021, statement to the parole board. "Martin should not be released as he poses a significant, unreasonable risk of safety to the community."
Martin was released last summer after having spent three years in prison. None of the people who have been arrested has been formally accused of homicide. Police said detectives
Dandrae Martin was being held without bail in the Sacramento County Main Jail and He was scheduled to be in court Tuesday afternoon.
