A Billboard Exclusive Revels That New Jenni Rivera Music And A Family Concert Is On Its Way

Jenni's daughter Jaccqie Rivera speaks to Billboard News for the first time since she took over as head of Jenni Rivera estate, and she reveals what new projects are in the works.

This December marks 10 years since Jenni Rivera died in a plane crash accident. According to Jacqie Rivera, she told Billboard that her mother had left recorded never-released music before her death. “It’s definitely music in Spanish, it’s more than one song, and it’s regional Mexican, I think it’s very important that we tie in how she started, what [music] put her up there, and share that.” Jacqie told in the exclusive interview. The new music will be part of a full album that was recorded by Jenni before her death. The album will include at least 11 unreleased songs. The songs were founded by Jenni Rivera estate after her passing. The music will be released by Sony Music. There is music in English on its way, as of now there has not been finalized plans for it. Many of the plans include the music, a concert commemorating Rivera’s death which will feature performances by her children, and which Jacqie Rivera describes as “a la Coachella” and a long-planned biopic, which has long been discussed but is now firmly in the planning stages. “The little decisions, I make them. For the big decisions, we all get together and we all vote, My little brother Johnny is working alongside with me, especially for the music. He’s always been involved in producing, and we’re working closely together. But we definitely need each other, all of us together, to really do it. There’s always meetings, phone calls, zooms. We’re all busy but we make it happen." Jacqie told billboard. Jenni Rivera fans are ready to hear the new music that is coming soon. Many are excited to see all of Jenni Rivera estate plans come together.
